Mime played a big part in this years Easter outreaches, amongst the sketchboard messages, surveys, literature distribution and special evening events. Not only did we present mimes which communicated the gospel, but we also were able to entertain the children we saw during the open-airs, leaving their parents free to discuss spiritual issues. The mimes playful attitudes and smiles softened some of the passers-by enough to take tracts and stop to talk with our team-members.

Pictured here are three girls doing a mime where the balls represent God and man. A third ball is slipped in between them to represent sin. But with the cross (and a special hook underneath) a team-member can remove the sin from the relationship, allowing God and man to come together again. Notice the look on Katies face (the girl on the right, representing man) - awe at the sacrifice of a sinless God/man who took our sin upon Himself, freely, so that we could be reconciled to God. How easy for Christians to take this gift for granted; how easy for non-Christians to be blinded to its significance. But evangelism is to chip away at that blindness and it serves as a reminder to Christians, while obeying Jesus command, of the great price with which weve been bought.

Well continue the evangelism with two summer outreaches. For Paris at Heart, well be teaming up with YWAM France to have large open-air presentations, six hours each evening in two huge Paris plazas: La Place de la Nation, Wed. to Sat., 9 - 12 July and La Place de la Bataille de Stalingrad, Tue. to Sat. 15-19 July. Meanwhile, four short-term OMers will travel to Avignon with several experienced street evangelists. Their team will be one of hundreds of performance acts during the annual festival (12-19 July). Please pray that God will be honored by our outreach messages and conversations with people this summer, and that He would draw men and women into His kingdom.
